Área of Production
The Denominación de Origen Alicante, on the eastern coast of Spain, enjoys a warm climate throughout the year and the positive influences of the Mediterranean. The inland mountainous areas have a Continental climate.
Grape Varieties
60% Monastrell and 40% Syrah.
Winemaking
The grapes are picked by hand. Destemmed and gently pressed. Prefermentation maceration at a low temperature for 3-4 days, selected yeasts are added for a controlled fermentation at a maximum of 26º C. After 21 days of maceration the wine in taken out. Aged for 14 months in French oak barrels.
Tasting Note
Colour: Intense red with purple tones.
Aroma: Elegant, powerful aromas of ripe fruit and toasted oak.
Taste: Full bodied, complex, ripe tannins and toasted flavours on the finish.
